Bachelor of Science in Information Technology Overview

This undergraduate degree in information technology is designed to provide the technical knowledge and communication, critical thinking, and creative skills relevant to the modern workplace. Coursework is focused on preparing you to:
- Analyze a complex computing problem and apply principles of computing and other relevant disciplines to identify solutions.
- Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing requirements in the context of the program's discipline.

Degree Concentrations
Information technology concentrations allow you to personalize your education by focusing your electives on an area of study that best fits your desired career path. Choose from six options:
- Game development: Implement challenges and scenarios to create gamified experiences for recreational or business-related training resources. Game design features include storylines, role-play mechanics, and character profiles for a new game or interactive experience.
- Information security and assurance: Study topics in computer forensics, network administration, and intrusion detection and incident response.
- IT management: Choose electives in diverse areas such as certified ethical hacking, CISSP, application development, project management, and information system security.
- Network administration: Focus on infrastructure design and troubleshooting networks.
- Programming and software development: Explore software development concepts and programming languages such as C#, Java, and a combination of PHP, Javascript, HTML5, and CSS for web development.
- Supply chain management and logistics: Develop an understanding of the primary processes of supply chain management and logistics including procurement, transportation, and maintenance of facilities, materials, and personnel.
